My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Horak and family during this time of bereavement.  My wife and I moved into your old home in Desoto back in December 2016.  God was very gracious in allowing us to purchase this home to enjoy it.  We are enjoying all the plants and flowers around the home we believe Mrs. Lonnette enjoyed.  I am sorry, I had to cut down a few trees and we can't compete with the squirrels for the pecans.  May Mrs. Lonnette's memory be a blessing to all who loved and knew her.

There are so many fond memories I have of Lonnette and Ron.  They were in my BKU unit and it was always a pleasure to go over to their house at Christmas and Easter.  Their home was like a wonderland.  All the Christmas villages and rabbits were so enjoyed.  
When my grandchildren were visiting from California Lonnette invited us over to see her new puppy, Lizzie.  The girls loved playing with the precious puppy.  Before we left Lonnette presented my girls with beautiful cowboy sequined hats, which they were thrilled to get.  Lonnette always went the extra mile.  She will be missed….

We have known Lonnette and her family since Trinity Heights days!  Lonnette and Ronnie became like family when we lived so close in DeSoto and Ovilla!  They both and their girls are very special to us!

My favorite memory of Lonnette is her visit to see my mom who was about 103.  She insisted on bringing her something and asked me “what”. Mom was rather “outspoken” so I told her no flowers or candy.  She asked what were her favorites?  Lonnette was so thoughtful she brought her 2 large sacks of Cheese Puffs and a large bottle of wine.  She was a closet wine sipper at age 90 and we had to keep her with Cheese Puffs

Ron - you and Lonnette were an amazing team.  Your love and concern for all of us was greatly appreciated through your cards, laminated scriptures, and gift cards.  You lovingly cared for Lonnette for many years.  May God comfort you and your family….

I’ve known Lonnette and the Waller family since I was a little girl at Trinity Heights.  I always loved how kind Lonnette was to others.  She was so much like her mom.  As we grew older, she would text me any time she knew of someone who needed special prayers so I could send out a church family email for prayers. She loved God, Jesus and her family so much and I know she’s resting now in the arms of Jesus.

Ronnie - I always enjoyed coming by to see Lonnette and surprise her with goodies like cake and cookies.  I enjoyed sitting on the fireplace tossing her little Lizzy her dog toy while visiting with Lonnette.  She was my dear friend.

My heart is hurting this morning as I grieve the loss of my sweet friend, Lonnette Horak.  So thankful she is in the arms of Jesus and free of her years of pain and suffering. So sad for her girls and precious husband who has faithfully been by her side EVERY moment!  So many memories of wonderful times together!  Looking forward to eternal home when we will all be together.

Remembering my good friend Lonnette and her family from Trinity Heights Church of Christ.  This was right at 75 years ago, when we were little girls.  One of my favorite memories included her mom Floyette and her Aunt Willise.  They had a family owned hat shop in their home.  Their mother was part of this too.  They made the most beautiful picture hats.  It was so exciting when they would come down the aisle in those wonderful hats.  Lonnette always had her beautiful dresses Floyette made for her.  It was like an Easter parade. Lonnette and I cooked every Wednesday night after we merged to become Trinity Oaks.  We went to Adamson High School, where I met Butch and she met Ronnie.  We remained friends all these years.  I can honestly say I never met such a devoted, loving husband as Ronnie was to Lonnette.  During her illness, of 40 years, he devoted every minute of his life to her.  Never left her side.  Together they started the most incredible card ministry.  Working together to send thousands of cards to people all over.  Ronnie of course gives the credit to Lonnette but he helped by laminating little scripture cards to tuck inside.  I know I can say almost everyone has received one of their cards.  Lonnette would even put a gift card in if she felt it was needed.  Lonnette loved doing for others and the card ministry made her so happy.  Every one knows what a giving person she was.  I am so happy our families met so many years ago.  It makes me even happier to know she has joined all our dear family and friends who are waiting for us in heaven.  Her body is whole and healed and I am sure finding a project to bring happiness to all our loved ones.
