She is also survived by an aunt, Gloria Shouse of Dallas as well as paternal and maternal cousins. Known to family and friends as Sue or Susie, she grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas where she and her family were members of Inglewood Baptist Church and later Beverly Hills Church in Dallas. In 1962 she graduated from Grand Prairie High School where she had served as a majorette and a cheerleader and was voted “Miss School Spirit” by her classmates. She worked as a flight attendant for Delta Airlines for 39 years and retired from the company in 2005. After retirement from Delta, her love of animals led her to a job as receptionist for Campbell Village Veterinary Clinic in Dallas. She was an accomplished equestrian and enjoyed working with both horses and dogs. She showed her dogs in obedience and conformation competition. The Ascob Cocker Spaniel took her fancy and to her credit and determination, after having been diagnosed with cancer, she bred her champion female and the litter produced GCH Gra-Su’s Touch Of Grace. The dog (call name Justice) being owner bred and handled made the earned title even more special. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 4 pm till 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Sue Wagoner may be directed to UT Southwestern Medical Center, PO Box 910888 Dallas, TX 75391-0888 or online at www.utsouthwestern.edu/donatenow to support Cancer Research under the direction of Barbara Haley, MD.
