Linda Rutherford, of Cedar Hill, Texas, passed away on 1/1/2017 in Dallas, Texas. She will always be remembered as a Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and wonderful friend to all that knew and loved her.
She was born on September 1, 1938 in Joplin, Missouri to Eddie and Leona Miller. In addition to a very special, loving Wife and Mother, Linda was a best friend to her Husband and Daughters. Always with a warm smile and kind words, she was instrumental in the tremendous success and happiness enjoyed by her husband and daughters throughout their lives. She had a kind and gentle soul, had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others – especially her husband, Daughters, and their families. Linda always had that smile that would elevate everyone wherever she was. She will be fondly remembered by all those who shared journeys and crossed paths with her throughout her wonderful life.
Linda leaves loving memories to be cherished by her husband of 62 years, Don Rutherford of Cedar Hill, Texas, Her three Daughters and Son-in-Laws, Cindy and Randy Ferguson of Ovilla, Texas; Jill and Mike Holley of Cedar Hill, Texas; Connie and Mike Barbaro of Plano, Texas; Her Grand-Children and their families, Blake and Jen Beecroft with her Great Grand-Children, Brynlee and Breck Beecroft of Frisco, Texas; Rachel Barbaro of Plano, Texas; Haley and Hutton Lunsford of Dallas, Texas; Jay and Natalie Stuckey with her Great Grand-Children Jake and Kaylee Stuckey of Burleson, Texas; Josh and Anna Stuckey with Great Grand-Child Achilles Stuckey of Ft. Worth, Texas. Linda is also survived by her Uncle Thad Leach, Joplin, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Leona Miller of Joplin Missouri; Her Grandson Michael Holley; and her Great Granddaughter Brielle Beecroft.
The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on January 5 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 265 W. Pleasant Run Road, Cedar Hill, Texas 75104. Interment Service will follow at Sparkman/Hillcrest - Hillcrest Memorial Park, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas 75225. A reception to follow in the L.N. Sparkman Family Lounge from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
