She was born in Dallas, Texas, on February 13, 1949.
Linda graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1967 and was a member of the BA Belles Drill Team. She was an Executive Assistant for many years to Bum Bright, owner of various Bright companies and a former owner of the Dallas Cowboys.
She had a passion for trave,l especially to New Mexico, Colorado and Wyoming. She loved the national parks, the mountains and the wildlife that lived there. She was an avid reader. Lately, she developed an interest in English detectives, i.e. Sherlock Holmes and Father Brown.
Linda was a devout Christian and had an everlasting faith in God and Jesus Christ.
She married James Austin Murphy II on March 27, 1987.
She was preceded in death by her Father - Robert O’Dell Parker; Mother - Marian Gregory Parker; and Sister - Vickie Lynn Parker Davis
She is survived by her Son - Kyle Lee Thyfault; Stepdaughter - Megan Murphy Brown; Sister - Dianna Parker Roebuck; Brother - Michael Stephen Parker and Sister - Shirley Parker Lopez.
A graveside inurnment will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at 10 am. Father Greg Pickens from Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church will perform the service.
