Linda enjoyed her membership in many organizations. She loved attending Craig Class and several book review clubs with her friends. Because of her artistic talent and eye for beauty, Linda enjoyed volunteering at the Dallas Museum of Art. She proudly served on the Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum as the arboretum was one of her favorite places in Dallas.
Linda’s greatest source of joy was her 67-year-long marriage to Allen. Highschool sweethearts at Hillcrest Highschool in Dallas, their love story is one for the ages. They enjoyed traveling the world together as well as just the regular day to day at home. Linda was gentle and ladylike but became strong and steadfast whenever a friend or family member was in need. Linda had a special way of making others feel loved and valued. Wherever she went, she brought love, fun, and laughter.
She is survived by her husband Phillip Allen Huffhines; her children, Lee Huffhines and his wife Nicole, Lynn Milner and her husband Howard and her grandchildren Sam Schwall, Grace Sigrest and her husband Noah.
A memorial service will be held April 16 at 11:00 am at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home in Sparkman Memorial Chapel, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75225.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Samaritan’s Purse in Linda’s memory.
