Lily Antonieta CORRALES, - (1929 - 2023) Born in La Punta de Bombon, in Mollendo, Peru, Lily completed her degree in nursing and worked in the military hospital. In 1962, she moved to the US to begin her new married life and build her family with her husband Victor.
Once in Dallas, they were among one of the first founding families of St. Monica Parish. To continue with her passion of helping others, Lily became a surgical nurse in Dallas at St Paul Hospital. Once the children were born she prioritized raising her family, while continuing her nursing career for several years.
She loved to sew and was known for sewing anything and everything. Lily was an enthusiastic Dallas Cowboy’s fan, never missing a game. She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to everyone who knew her. She never missed an opportunity to say, "You make me so happy.” Lily was an avid gardener, nurturing beloved rose bush varieties, fruit trees, and vegetable gardens. While her annual trips to Peru brought her great joy, she also had a love for travel, but truly was most content hosting family dinners and making her special dishes for all to enjoy. Those who were privileged enough to have met her, knew that Lily genuinely loved them.
Lily is preceded in death by her mother Hortencia, sister Nelsa, husband Victor and her beloved uncle, Jose. She is survived by her loving family: daughter Liliana and husband Scott, their daughters Rebecca and Christine; daughter Frances and husband Craig, their daughters Madeline and Meredith; daughter Jessica and husband Bob, their son Brandon and daughter Nicole; son Joe and wife Cathy, their son Jack, and daughters Olivia and Tess. She is also survived by her loving brother Justo Ponce, countless nieces and nephews and their families.
Her family lovingly cherished her life and her dedication to them as her greatest gift.
