Leonard W. Riley, Jr. was born in Dallas, Texas on August 1, 1948 to Faye Lois and Leonard Riley, Sr. He received his formal education from Hamilton Park School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served until honorably discharged in May 1971. Based on his love of working on old cars, he later became a mechanic and auto-body workman. Of his marriage to Annette Hartfield, his daughter Dyuana “DeCe” Riley was born in November 1972. Affectionately called “Junior,” “Unc” or “Pa Pa,” Leonard, Jr. enjoyed telling tall tales and whoppers, sharing a lifetime of memories with his grandchildren, fishing alongside family and friends, and collecting “stuff.” Survivors to cherish the memory of Leonard Wilford Riley, Jr. include his daughter, Dyuana “DeCe” Culton and her husband, Corey Culton; his stepson, Sean Hartfield; his granddaughter, Brooklyn Culton, and grandsons, Korian Culton and Corey Culton II; his sisters, Martha Robinson and Shirley Bonner (husband, Jimmie Bonner); and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends.
