Lena Mae Kleinman was born to Harry Goldstein and Esther Lebovitz Goldstein in New Orleans, Louisiana. She passed away on May 15, 2011 in Dallas, Texas. Le graduated with a B.A. and M.A. in Education from Louisiana State University. Le was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta Fraternity-a national society for academic excellence. She married A. Pat Kleinman on April 13, 1947, in Beaumont, Tx. Mrs. Kleinman was an active member of the Sisterhood at Temple Emanu-El. Le was recognized by G.W. Carver Middle School for her volunteer work. She was a voracious reader, a passionate bridge player and an accomplished gourmet cook. Le is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Mrs. Kleinman is survived by son Jeff Kleinman and wife Linda, granddaughter Kayla Kleinman, nephews Harry Breen and wife Joyce, Neil Breen and wife Susie and Steve Breen. The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Temple Emanu-El Lefkowitz Chapel with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Rabbi David Stern officiating.
