You, Lela has been an inspiration to so many. You have raised a beautiful family. 
I believe that from you there just might be one of our next Black Presidents. And I know that you will be looking down.

We enjoyed seeing  Ms. Willis stop by with that warm smile and visit us at the afterschool program over the years as well as the loving care she provided my Kenneth during his time in Adelle Turner’s program. My condolences to the entire family of the beloved Lela Willis. I have many fond memories that I will cherish dearly while working in Ooh LA Laz Hair Salon. Thank you La Keri, La Tonya and La Cilla for sharing your mother with us.  She has been a mentor,  advisor and confidant to many of her clients and co-workers. I realize this is very difficult to accept but remember God never make any mistakes and he always takes his best.  Ms. Lela take your rest beautiful, tell Chaz we said HELLO and we will see you both on the other side. 
May God give STRENGTH to the ENTIRE family is my prayer.

To my Extended Family

Momma Lela was my other momma because her youngest daughter is my sister.  She was also my cousin because somewhere down the line, she and my momma, Rosie, had to have been related.  They were alike in many ways, and had the same mindset about many things...lol.  Kerrie, and I laugh about that all the time when comparing our "Let me tell u about what she did today  (Mother-Daughter) stories".  Momma Lela was my beautician for many years, until my sister became one, and I'm pretty sure she was that to a whole lot of you who are reading this now.  She was my friend as well, because growing up with Kerrie, Tonni, and Cilla, she always looked too young to be any of our Momma, but our sister.  She related to us like a friend, but she always kept us in our place just like mommas do...lol!  She was a beautiful person inside & out.  I loved her, and I'm going to miss laughing at certain stuff with her.

My most deep and sincere condolences  to my Best Friend, Lakerrie, whom I've known for over 45 years, and the Hill/Butler family.  Mere words from any human being right now would barely touch the surface of what you all may be feeling or experiencing  right now.  But there is a word that will comfort your minds, bodies,  and souls...and that is the Word of God!  It sooths, heals, strengthens, confirms, restores, reveals, mends, and encourages.  The Word of God brings clarity, understanding, and peace to hearts & spirits that have been broken, and minds that have been shaken.  And, most importantly, it is the truth!!!

To the Family of Ms Lela LaCilla  and Destiny from our family to yours we are sorry for the Passing of your Mom Cilla and your Grandmother Destiny.  I Remember going to Ms Lela to get my hair done she was truly a blessing to be around and talk to and she was really a great Beautician and had growing hands. LaCilla God will see you and your family through this difficult time . Remember Absence from the body is to be present with the Lord! Take Comfort in knowing your love one is in heaven. 

I met Ms Lela many years ago working in the Youth Conversion After School Program. I can honestly say she was beautiful on the inside and out. I can't remember a time where she didn't come to work looking fabulous and young! I enjoyed the conversations we shared and the laughs while working together. You will be missed! I am praying for the family and all who loved Ms. Lela ❤️ 

One thing i know about my Moma Lela is that she loved her grandkids dearly... I miss you dearly man i just want to hear your voice and see your beautiful smile one more time
