Lee Alfred Edwards

Lee Alfred Edwards was born April 18, 1945 in Lindale, Texas to the late Weldon and Ruthie V. Edwards. He moved to Dallas, Texas and became a certified welder and mechanic. He later ended his career as a heavy duty machine technician and retired from the Dallas Fire Department in 2006.

Mr. Edwards met and subsequently married Joyce Thomas in 1966; this union brought forth three children, two boys and a girl. He later met Lois Barnes and they resided together until his death. This union brought forth one child and two stepchildren, all of whom were girls.

He took his last breath on December 31, 2020 just at the year was ending. He was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Robert Edwards, David Osborne, Lonnie Edwards, and Dean Edwards; sister, Ruthie Nell Everett; daughter Kecia Edwards; stepdaughter Tracino Barnes; and step granddaughter Jhailyn Byers.

He leaves to cherish his memories: children, Alfred Edwards, Stephen Edwards, LaShonda (Taj) Thomas, and LaTonya (Jessie) Byers; brother, Loyas Edwards; sister, Ruby Freeman; 5 grandchildren, Stephen, Jessica, Skylar, Keyuna, and Zuri; 4 great-grandchildren, Terrion, Jordan, Tiuana, Jayci; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
