Lee Graves Cannon

Lee Cannon, age 92, passed away on October 18, 2023 in Mesquite, Texas. He was born on January 19, 1931 in Dallas, Texas to H.L. and Jimmie Cannon. Lee was raised in East Dallas and graduated from Crozier Tech in 1950.

Lee began his service in 1951 until being honorably discharged in 1953. For his service he received a Combat Medical Badge, Korean Service Medal with 2 bronze Service stars, and a United Nations Service Medal.

He married Martha in 1953 and they had 1 child. He later went on to work in Air Conditioning Refrigeration for numerous years.

In his spare time, Lee enjoyed being outdoors mowing his lawn, vacationing with friends, and attending his grand-kids sporting events.

His family and friends will always remember him as a loving, caring, thoughtful, and witty person.

He is preceded in death by his parents, H.L. and Jimmie Cannon.

He is survived by his wife Martha Cannon, his son Gary Cannon and wife Cynthia Anderson, grandson Craig and wife Valerie and their child Leslie Cannon, granddaughter Brittany and her husband Caleb and their children Hadley and Hayden Hall, and his granddaughter Tonya and husband Ben Steiner.

A Visitation will be held Monday, October 30, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM and a funeral service for Lee will be held Monday, October 30, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 2201 - Grove Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
