LaVerne was born in Pilot Point, TX on April 10, 1943 to Andrew H. Flusche and Marie P. Flusche. LaVerne graduated from Ursuline Academy of Dallas and continued her education to receive a PHD from The University of Mississippi.
LaVerne worked as a RN for many years before becoming part of the faculty at the University of Mississippi teaching nursing. LaVerne enjoyed playing bingo and computer games.
LaVerne is preceded in death by her dad, Andy, and mother, Marie, and her 2 sons, Kenneth and Keith Kollmansberger and brother, Leon Flusche.
LaVerne is survived by 3 sons, Kurt Kollmansberger and wife, Tammy, of Spring Branch, TX; Kristopher Kollmansberger and wife, Judy, of Plano, TX; and Kevin Kollmansberger of Benbrook, TX; 6 grandchildren, Kyle Kollmansberger, Colton Kollmansberger, Matthew Kollmansberger, Hannah Kollmansberger, Keradan Kollmansberger and Scott Sprouse; She was also blessed with 5 great grandchildren and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 9:00am to 11:00am at Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Liturgy of The Word will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 11:00am at Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel with entombment to follow at Calvary Hill Patio Mausoleum. Reception will be held after the entombment at Calvary Hill Funeral Home from 12:30pm to 2:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory may be made to The American Heart Association.
