Larry L Ervin

Larry Landis Ervin, July 11, 1943 – June 3, 2015, was born in Sparta, Illinois to Ray Landis Ervin and Myrtle Ruth Hindman. Larry grew up in Peoria, Illinois and attended Woodruff High Class of 62. He went on to attend Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He married Sharon Sue Bontjes on 10/28/1967. They met at Logan Printing Company. A daughter, Heather Lea Ervin, was born to them 2/27/1969. He worked in financial printing and retired as Vice President of Pricing and Purchasing from Bowne of Dallas. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and reading. He enjoyed sports, especially the Mavericks and Cowboys. He was preceded in death by both parents. Survivors include his wife Sharon Ervin, daughter Heather Ervin, granddaughter Brittany Galleogs, sister Rita Ervin of E. Peoria, IL, brother Doug Ervin of Peoria, IL, many nephews and a niece and other extended family in Illinois. A Memorial Service will be held in Cremation Garden at Hillcrest Memoiral Park, 7405 W.
