Kristin Lauren Lopez entered eternal life on December 7, 2013. She was 22. She was born on May 10, 1991 in Dallas. Kristin began her education at St. Monica Catholic School and later graduated from Warren Travis White High School. Kristin’s passion and her eagerness to understand her place and gain the knowledge of all that is the unknown led her to her true passion, Art. Kristin was attending Brookhaven College in pursuit of a degree in Art Therapy. Kristin will forever be remembered for her loving spirit, her ever so beautiful smile, the true beauty within her soul, her words and her presence. Kristin touched everyone she encountered. Whether in joke, her vast knowledge of life and the beyond or her amazing witty demeanor and the perfect art of timing is what made Kristin so amazingly talented in all she did. Kristin was even capable of making her fascination or rather obsession with anything and everything Star Wars alluring to anyone who knew her. That was truly what made Kristin so fascinatingly charming. Kristin, you will forever be missed and never be forgotten. With heavy hearts, souls and thoughts, Kristin is survived by her parents, Eddy and Carol Herrera; sister, Alyssa Herrera; grandparents, Robert and Susie Mendez and Felis Herrera; aunts, Tina Navarro; uncles, P.J. Navarro, Jesse Herrera, Roger Herrera and Larry and Naomi Herrera; cousins, Andrew Navarro, Faustine, Scott, Jessica, Haley and Kaylee Herrera. A Visitation will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel 3235 Lombardy Ln. Dallas, TX 75220 on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 12:00 - 8:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm. A Mass will be celebrated in her honor on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at St. Monica Catholic Church 9933 Midway Rd. Dallas, TX 75220 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
