

Korey Deashaun Adams was born on February 18,1985, in Houston, Texas, to Ms. Martha Rene Jackson (Midland, Texas), and Mr. Anthony T. Adams I, (Midland, Texas) along with “Madre”, Mrs. Terri Adams (Rotan, Texas). Korey was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. On October 25, 2024, Korey transitioned from this earthly life, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and friendship that touched all who had the pleasure to know him.
Growing up in Midland, Texas, Korey attended Robert E. Lee High School and graduated with the Class of 2003. Driven by a passion for knowledge and excellence, he went on to attend Prairie View A&M University. Korey graduated with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting (2007) and a master of science degree in accounting (2008), setting the foundation for a promising career in his field. While at Prairie View he not only excelled academically, he built a lifelong brotherhood as a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Eta Gamma Chapter, in Spring 2006.
In 2017, Korey joined Concord Church in Dallas, Texas under the leadership of Pastor Bryan L. Carter, where his faith deepened and he became a part of a vibrant community that enriched his life. The following year, he married the love of his life, Dr. Brittany D. Adams (Texarkana, Texas). They welcomed the light of their lives, daughter, Madison Kaitlyn Adams, in 2022.
Korey was blessed with a large and loving family. He is cherished and remembered by his sisters: Shawniece Adams (Woodbridge, Virginia); Keiundra De’Vonn Jackson Nash (Katy, Texas); Cherrel Adams (Dallas, Texas); Shawnta A. Adams (Dallas, Texas); brothers: Shelton Jordan (Houston, Texas); Prindtus Tillman (Houston, Texas); Kedrick Brown (Houston, Texas); Tyrone Adams (Pullman, Washington). He leaves behind four nieces, three nephews, a fraternal great grandmother Lois Whiteside, grandparents Thomas and Carolyn Esikhati, Rev. Willie James Jones, Jean “NaNaw” Tillman and a host of devoted aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Korey was preceded in death by his bonus father, Anthony Tyrone Brazell, his cherished Nana Mary “Sis” Washington, his loving grandmother Beaulah Mae Battles, his beloved aunt, Latifha Jamelia Johnson, grandfather Booker T. Lott Sr., and his wise great grandfather Sherman “Big Daddy” Jones Jr.
Known for his warm smile, generous spirit, and dedication to those he loved, Korey left a lasting impact on everyone he met. His laughter, witty nature, and kindness filled every room, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him most.
As we say goodbye, we hold close the countless moments of joy and love Korey brought to our lives. His memory will forever be a guiding light, reminding us to love deeply, live fully, and cherish each moment.
A visitation for Korey will be held Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Singing Hills Funeral Home, 6221 UNIVERSITY HILLS BLVD, DALLAS, TX 75241. A service of celebration will occur Friday, November 8, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Concord Church, 6808 Pastor Bailey Dr, Dallas, TX 75237. A graveside will occur Friday, November 8, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home & Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6300 S R L Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75232.
