Kevin John McKay

Kevin John McKay, a loving son, brother and Uncle , passed away at 43, on November 13th 2017, in Dallas TX. He is survived by his parents John and Christine McKay of Dallas, brother Mark McKay, sister- in law Stacy McKay, and nephews Duff and Brigg McKay 10 and 8, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins from New York and California.

Kevin was born July 4th, 1974 in Stamford, CT and later moved with his family to Dallas as a young child, where he graduated from Greenhill School, and the University of Texas as Austin, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. Kevin loved sports, whether it was watching or playing, as he particularly loved the strong bonds of friendship, camaraderie and teamwork that were developed from the many years competing in baseball, basketball and football throughout his childhood. Attending Greenhill School for thirteen years gave him the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with faculty, coaches and friends who meant the world to him, and provided indelible memories that he always cherished. He loved to travel, as his passion for golf and skiing also served a natural backdrop to those hobbies as well.

Throughout his professional career, Kevin worked in the television and media industry in Los Angeles and Dallas, in numerous sales and marketing positions, with companies such as Paramount Television, NBC, and Liberman Broadcasting.

Like a radiant firework shower that always coincided with his birthday, Kevin had a personality that was equally bold and bright, that had the energy to light up any room, as he truly loved people, and adored his family and friends. While he has left us to be with the Lord, the memory of his loving and playful spirit will never extinguish, and will continue to radiate within anyone who knew him. A memorial Service will be held on Tuesday November 21st at 12pm at Sparkman- Hillcrest in the Northwest Highway Chapel at 7405 W. Northwest Highway Dallas, TX 75225.
