After graduating from St. Joseph High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. After serving his country, he returned home to attend the University of Notre Dame and graduated in 1964 with a Business Administration degree.
It was at Notre Dame that he met his love, Sara Baker, and they were married in 1963. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past September.
He is survived by his wife, Sara; daughters, Anne Vincent (Bruce) and Katie; sons, Sean (Jennifer) and Patrick (Brenda); four grandchildren, Peter and Erin (Sean), and Brian and Kevin (Patrick); and brother, Neal D. Fagan (Jane).
He is preceded in death by his parents, and older brother, Brendan of Cleveland, Ohio.
Kevin worked in the tax departments of Clark Equipment (Michigan), Jeffrey Galion (Ohio), and Dresser Industries in Dallas.
In 1987, he left Dresser to start his own property tax consulting firm, Fagan and Fagan Associates. He proudly served the Boy Scouts of America as a Scoutmaster for 14 years before becoming an Eagle Scout Advisor. He was awarded the Silver Beaver Award by the Boy Scouts National Council of Honor for his leadership and positive impact on the lives of youth in the community.
Kevin was a member of the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals. He also was a member of the Sorin Society and 50-Year Club at the University of Notre Dame.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday evening, October 24, at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home (10501 Garland Road, Dallas, TX) at 5 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Wednesday, October 25, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church (9643 Ferndale Road, Dallas, TX).
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the many medical professionals who cared for Kevin, especially the staff on the 2 Hamon wing of Presbyterian Hospital Dallas.
