Kevin Berkhout, born in Dallas September 12, 1969, died suddenly of heart failure at his home in Wylie on September 19, 2014. He was the cherished son of Aart and Janet, beloved father of Derek, Jake and Kevin, brother of Katy and uncle of Blake. We are truly heartbroken. He also leaves behind his Aunt Anne from Toronto, Canada, Aunts Ada, Anna and Lieke of The Netherlands and an incredible number of friends. .
Kevin was an avid outdoorsman who loved nature and whose happiest times were spent in the woods or waterskiing on a lake. He graduated from Pearce High School in 1989. His professional training was in aircraft mechanics but he switched to cars (a lifelong passion) and worked for 19 years at Middlekauff Ford. For the last 6 years he has worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Royse City, a job he liked very much.
