It is with deepest sorrow we mourn the loss of husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Kenneth Joe Henson. Kenneth was fortunate to discover his true calling as a Dallas County Sheriff's Deputy at an early age, retiring after 30 years of devotion to his calling. A man of varied loves, he spent many hours raising cattle, sheep and dogs. He also took great pleasure in creating CDs and DVDs that he shared unconditionally with anyone who expressed an interest, going out of his way to find unique and hard to find songs, movies and television shows. He created a legacy with both his eldest son, Kenneth Michael Henson and grandson, Joshua Keith Henson, following in his law enforcement. Kenneth was born July 27, 1937 to Ralph B, Henson, Sr and Mary Allene Robinson Henson, both deceased. He was predeceased by both brothers, Ralph B Henson, Jr and James Key Henson. Kenneth married the love of his life, Dorothy Jean Hathcock Henson on November 9th, 1957. Kenneth left this world on April 21st, 2016 at the age of 78. Kenneth is survived by his beautiful wife, Dorothy Jean Hathcock Henson, son Kenneth Michael Henson, son Mark Keith Henson and wife, Debra Henson, daughter Darla Jean Henson Sims and husband Steve Sims, and son Monty Craig Henson and wife Tammy Henson. His is grandfather to twelve grandchildren, great-grandfather to thirteen great-grandchildren and friend to countless others.
