Kenneth Ray Boyd

Kenneth Ray Boyd, 84 of Grapevine, Texas was reunited with his Savior on September 9, 2023. Ken was born September 28, 1938 in Pontotoc, Oklahoma to Joe and Mildred Boyd of Dallas. He was a 1952 graduate of Sunset High School where he played football furthering his education at Arlington State College. On November 10, 1978, Ken married the love of his life, Nena Gray in Dallas, and celebrated 44 years of marriage. A lifetime resident of the Dallas area, he was a member and supporter of Highland Park Presbyterian Church, 3821 University Blvd in Dallas, TX. Ken was an avid reader, fisherman, and yacht enthusiast enjoying boating and being on the water. Ken & Nena loved to travel the US, Canada, Europe, and Africa. He began his insurance underwriting career VP of Scor Reinsurance and later becoming owner of American Underwriting Managers until his retirement in 2016. Ken was a man of Godly character whose life celebrated his love of God whom together with his wife, feared God and walked in His spirit. Those who knew him, knew he was a true gentleman who loved being with family and friends. His presence will be missed until we meet face to face with our Father.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Nena Gray Boyd of Grapevine, TX; his sons Todd Boyd of San Angelo, TX, Brian Boyd (Carly) of Dallas, TX, and Kyle Boyd (Mara) of Las Cruces, NM; his sister Joann Granzella of Pacheco, CA; nephew Joel Granzella of Pacheco, CA; his brother Ron Boyd of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren and 1 great grandchild

The family will receive friends for visitation, Wednesday, September 13th from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75225. A Funeral Service will be Thursday, September 14th at 2:00 pm at the Gray Ranch Cemetery, Cherokee, TX.
