Ken attended Valley Forge Military Academy and College. Following graduation, he entered the United States Army in 1942 as a Second Lieutenant, to serve the country that he loved so dearly. He was an Infantry Platoon Officer, Heavy Weapons, with the 46th Armored Division in Fine Camp, New York. Following his service, he worked as a wrangler on one of Montana's largest ranches. He later attended the University of Arizona until moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico to join his father in the family business. K.H. Bair and Company, an Independent Insurance Agency, was founded by his grandfather in 1882. Ken was at the helm of the Company until his retirement at aged seventy-five, when he and Vicky moved to Dallas, Texas. In 2014, The Woodlands became their home.

Ken was "Grandpa" "Papa" or "Pa" to nineteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and Uncle Ken to many nieces and nephews; all of whom he adored. His friends were many, and their friendships so valued by him.
Ken enjoyed golf, reading and traveling. He still felt comfortable on horseback when in his eighties. However, his passion was his family, to which he dedicated his life. His legacy of love will live on in our hearts and in those generations to follow. We are the richer to have walked his journey alongside him.
Ken's family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to all for their prayers, their love and their support.
