Keith Bernard Barnes bid farewell to this world on Monday, June 16, 2014, at the age of 27. Keith was born on March 25, 1987 in Dallas, Texas. He grew up in the Dallas metroplex and graduated from Dallas Can Academy High School and attended ATI Technical Training Center. Keith was an avid lover of sports especially the Dallas Cowboys. During his young life he was a member of P.A.L.S., a youth program of the Dallas Police Athletic League where he excelled in competitive karate and traveled in tournaments. Growing up he also enjoyed being outdoors and playing basketball with friends. Most of all, he will be remembered as a loyal son and a devoted friend who was always there to help in time of need. His last act of helping others and giving back was by being an organ donor. Six lives were saved because of Keith and he will be remembered as a hero. His bright eyes and warm smile will be so dearly missed. Keith was preceded in death by his grandfathers Bishop Edgar Thomas, and J.C. Flemings. Keith is survived by his mother and step-father, Rebekka and Eric Patt; father, Reginald Harris; brothers, Patrick Jackson Jr. and Debodrick Patt; sisters, Shatosha Loud and Erika Patt; Grandmothers, Sandra Clark and Flossie Harris; great grandmother, Orssie Lee Martin; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church, 4014 South Lancaster Road, Dallas, Texas.
