She moved to Dallas, TX, where she began her career as an Executive Assistant at Dr. Pepper, where she retired from in 1985. Retirement didn’t last long and she joined Bank of America as an Executive Assistant.
At the age of 70 Kay retired and began volunteering at Schofield Church, Wilshire Baptist Church and Texas Baptist Men. She was most proud of her work with Texas Baptist Men because of the good they do throughout the country helping residents clean up after disasters. Kay’s husband, R.D. Davis, passed away in April, 2007.
Kay is survived by her daughter, Paula Watton Jackson, son-in-law Craig Jackson; granddaughter Leslie Hummel, her husband Michael Hummel and their children Austin, Nolan and Kennedie; granddaughter Abbie Jackson, her husband Ray Jackson and their children Hazel and Daniel. Kay always loved family gatherings and enjoyed her great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for Kay will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023, 10:00 AM at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX, 75225.
