Kay Frances Blackburn, 80, of Dallas, TX, passed away on March, 13, 2022. She was born in El Paso, TX on July, 30, 1941. Kay was a graduate of North Dallas High School.
She was married to Troy B. Phillips, and following his death in 1982, she married Bill Blackburn.
Kay enjoyed her career in sales and did work for the Fiber-Seal Corporation and Ice-Capades. She also owned a dress shop and a beauty shop. She had a passion for antiques and opened 5 antique shops over time.
Kay is survived by her three children; daughter, Kacey Phillips Obrien (Peter) and two sons, Garry Todd Phillips and Troy B. Phillips III (Natalie) and seven grandchildren; Kori Rich, Rumer Phillips, Kendel Thompson, Kennedy Thompson, Anna Phillips, Ethan Vicknair and Shawn Obrien.
Kay was diagnosed with ALS and was extremely courageous over the years, and the family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations can be made the ALS Society (https://www.als.org/) or to the charity of your choice.
