Kathryn graduated from Sunset High School in Oak Cliff section of Dallas, Texas, in 1954. She was a cost accountant at Beckett Pumps for over 25 years ,until her retirement in 2001. She enjoyed many tropical destination vacations with her late husband Reynolds “Slick” Wyrick, whom she married in 1994, and was a very good water skier. She was an avid Cowboys fan and always looked up the stats in the sports page. In later years, she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and watching Wheel of Fortune every evening. You could set your clock by it.
Kathryn was a wonderful, devoted mother and a doting and patient grandmother. She had a beautiful singing voice and sang in the choir at Cliff Temple in Oak Cliff in her youth and also played piano.
Kathryn is survived by her children Terri Camara of Dallas, Texas, and Gordon Hines, Jr., of Irving, Texas, and her two grandchildren, Connor and Fatou. She is predeceased by her husband Reynolds "Slick" Wyrick, sister Dorothy Mosely and brother Bill Hall.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 11, at 2 pm ,at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX, 75225.
