Kathy Bonner Quentan passed away peacefully on February 24th, 2017. She was born in Dallas, Texas on November 8th, 1955. Her parents were the late Eugene Gilbert Quentan and Carolyn Dorset Quentan. Kathy graduated from Hillcrest High School in Dallas, Texas. She went on to get her college degree from Colorado State University in Boulder, Colorado. She then went on to work as a real estate agent in Dallas, Texas. In her spare time, she was an avid golfer. She was also an excellent backgammon player and traveled around the country playing in tournaments. Although Kathy never married she had many nieces and nephews whom she adored. A one quote from them "Aunt Kathy had a contagious laugh.a gentle souland was generous to all she loved." Aunt Kathy was always the "cool" Aunt. If Mom said no and Dad said no; Aunt Kathy would probably say yes! She would be your partner in crime and have your back if you got caught. She was fiercely loyal and generous. She was always someone you could talk to about anything and she would support you through the good and the bad. One of her very best friends described Kathy as "her soulmate and partner in crime. We've been breaking the rules together since we first ran off to St. Thomas; after college,until the last time I saw her." Kathy is survived by her siblings Jane Quentan Piper, Ann Quentan Tobolka and husband Mike, Martha Quentan Sanderson and husband Webb, Leslie Fields, Michael Fields and wife Carol, and Allyson Fields Hallmark and husband Steve. She is also survived by her nephews and nieces Leigh Ann Gump Willis and husband Cory, Shep Gump and wife Tara, John Gump and wife Erika, Carolyn Gump, John Michael Tobolka, Quentan Tobolka and wife Sophia, Kate Tobolka, Jeff Sanderson, Stephen Sanderson, Cassie Harrell and husband Zach, Chad Hallmark, Matthew Hallmark, and great nieces Emma Gump, Harper Gump, Eve Tobolka, and, great nephew Bowen Tobolka. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Gena Quentan, Lang and Jeffrey Fields, and step-father Joseph Fields. Services will be held for Kathy at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 28th, 2017 (7405 Northwest Hwy, Dallas, Texas) at Noon. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charity of your choice. We will remember Kathy as such a generous and loving person.
