Katherine Canakes

parents Chrissi and Anastasios Poulos, she was the fourth of six children.

Katherine grew up in Monroe, LA, later moving to Houston, TX where she worked in banking and insurance until she met & married

the love of her life, Tom Canakes, moving to Dallas, TX in 1960. A Godly, intelligent, hard-working & compassionate woman, she gave up

her career to be a stay-at-home mother to their only child, Eugenia. She and Tom enjoyed a blessed marriage until his passing in 1995.

Katherine will always be known for her faith and amazing ability to listen and give truthful, Godly advice to anyone who asked. She was filled with

grace and love, always doing the right thing for the right reasons, leaving a legacy of faith, love, integrity and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Raleigh Poulos and John Poulos, and husband Tom. Survived by daughter & son-in-law,

Eugenia & Bob Robbins, brother & sister-in-law, Pete & Rita Poulos, sisters Mary Poulos & Ann Poulos, numerous nieces & nephews,

great-nieces & nephews and many other cherished family members.

A Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 13555 Hillcrest Road, Dallas, TX 75240. A Trisagion will be at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Holy Trinity. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to:
