June Ellen (Wafford) Hurst was born on December 25, 1938, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Carl and Dolly Wafford. She passed away peacefully on August 1, 2023 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.
June is survived by her husband of over 29 years, Wayne T. Hurst (Thomas) of Abilene, Texas; children, Mark McKeehan and wife, Heather, of Flower Mound, Texas; and Robin Mullenix and husband, Thomas, also of Flower Mound, TX; grandchildren, Corey McKeehan, Christopher McKeehan, Dylan Mullenix, Dayani Mullenix, Aidan Oldnettle, Farin Oldnettle; two great-grandsons, Milo Bennet McKeehan and Ahren Oldnettle; sister, Suzanne Johnson of Seneca, South Carolina; sister, Kathey Schneider of Austin, Texas; nieces, Shara Leonard and Carrie McGee; nephew, Mike Johnson; and cousin, Sue Allen.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 9, at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home. No flowers please. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association. https://www.alz.org/
