I stumbled upon this quite accidentally.  I am so sad to see this.  What a loss to those of us left here.  

Julie was such a stabilizing force for me when I lived in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Area.  Christmas parties, Choir recordings, planning events.  

The pioneer chest she gave me still sits in my home.  I can still hear her voice so clearly.  what love she held for all her fellow beings.

God bless you, Ronnie.  She loved her family so much.

Dearest Julie was my best friend from high school, my violin competitor and music friend, my art buddy, my horseback riding friend, and the one who introduced me to the LDS chuch.  What a great loss !

We moved into the Dallas 1st ward in 1996 and though we only stayed 2 short years, we have had Julie in our lives ever since.  I got to work in Primary with Julie and she never let me get away with teaching the songs incorrectly (music or words), but she also never came across as condescending or self-righteous about it.  She was a true friend at all times and really cared about people.  She stayed in touch with us long after we moved away and will be missed!

Every Christmas I unwrap and then wrap  up a few  miniature Christmas ornaments with great care - a boy skier and a girl skier and a grand piano.They remind me of Julie and the time I spent in the rental house next to her home.  I appreciate how Julie paid attention to details when we rented from her.  However, she was much much more than a person you rent from.  

My roommate Dawn actually knew Julie a lot better than I did when I moved in.  However, I learned that Julie reaches out to all and makes you feel included.  I am thankful for her friendship and example and humor that has left a lasting impression on my life.  I was grateful to be able to attend her services so that I gained an even greater appreciation of Julie and her life her on earth.

We met Julie through a mutual friend, Carolyn Roberts, about 35 years ago. At the time we lived in Rexburg, Idaho, where Julie came occasionally to visit Carolyn. What a fun personality she had. Later we visited Julie in Dallas, as she was instrumental in helping us bring "The Vocal Majority" to Ricks College for the Center Stage Entertainment Series. 

Some of our favorite Norwegian Christmas tree decorations came because of Julie's generosity. Then came the pranks Julie and Carolyn played on us with pink flamingos. Dear friend Carolyn passed away rather suddenly last May (2011), and now dear friend Julie has joined her. We can't help but smile as we picture the two of them happily traveling together again in a far better place.  We so miss them.  They were inseparable for many years and are now together again.

We always felt of Julie's genuine love, friendship and kindness and will truly miss her.

One of my favorite memories of Julie involved a Christmas tree.  After  purchasing the perfect specimen, I was dismayed to learn that it could not be delivered.  Ever resourceful, Julie came to my aid.  After surveying the situation, she jumped into the trunk of my car and told me to put the tree on top of her.  She then told me to drive home while she held onto the tree so it would not fall out.  At stoplights, I would open the car door and call out to make sure all was well.  Her response was to tell me to turn up the radio and then she would start singing Christmas carols louder than before.  When I got home and took out the tree, Julie jumped out of the trunk.  Some new neighbors standing nearby ran over and asked me, "Do you treat all of your friends this way?"  My response to that is: JULIE treated all of HER friends with love, good humor, generosity, and kindness. 

I later moved to California, and my children never had the privilege of meeting Julie.  They heard of her exploits, however.  Along with me, they "remember" her with laughter and love.

Julie blessed so many lives.She was a blessing  to my sister and her best friend.  She will be greatly missed.

What a loss. I considered Julie a rare and wonderful friend.  The times we shared in Dallas and Beirut in the late 60s and early 70s will always be treasured memories.  Her Dad, Eblen, and Mother, Zina, were wonderful hosts to me on many Sundays when I lived in Dallas.  Eblen was my home teacher and made sure I got up and went to church every week, picking me up at my apartment at Lemon and Inwood.  What a great family.

Julie was a joy to be around and one of the sweetest ladies I've had the pleasure of knowing - my life was definetly enriched by knowing her

The memories of Julie in junior high and high school are still with me.  Horseback riding in Wills Point, visiting the church on Turtle Creek and playing in the orchestra together were always many laughs when Julie was there. She was truly a positive and inspiring person. I will keep her memory.

Dear Malouf Family,
Our family like so many others was blessed through the generosity of Julie.  In particular Christmas 1985 we spent in Dallas with my sister Pam.  On Christmas morning our children awoke to gifts that had arrived during the night.  Although these were popular toys of time it was the fact that Julie had given of herself that touched me.   She had carefully selected each toy based on the interest of each individual child.   My children have kept those toys and I have kept in my heart the feeling of true joy that comes from her example of service.   May your knowledge of the Great Plan of Happiness bring you comfort and peace.

Like so many of her friends who got to know and love her in Dallas, I too, have moved elsewhere. But whether by Christmas card or an occasional visit back to University Park, Julie was always welcoming. And how we loved her house! I know there is work for her on the other side of the veil. What ever it is, it will be beautifully done.

I never met Ms Malouf face to face but had the opportunity to speak with her on the phone. She was such a sweet lady. She sent me Shari's Berries and that really made my day. Rest In Peace Julie!

I love Julie. She followed the teachings of Jesus Christ in her desire to bless and in her actually blessing the lives of so many people. I don't know how many times I answered the phone to hear, "Mary, what can we do to help" so-and-so, followed by her doing it. She was so talented and used those talents well. Her generosity, quick wit, sense of humor and kind companionship are legend. I'm sure her welcome to heaven has been joyous just as our thoughts and memories of her here are and will be; though we miss her so much. And I bet she has a better church organ there.

Julie was always so thoughtful and generous, especially to children and teenagers.  She seemed to care about everyone.  We've been personally blessed by her kindnesses and learned from her example of charity towards others.  She was always quick to laugh and just fun to be around.

I had the privilege of serving as Julie's Bishop...a couple of times...and I truly never knew of anyone so aware of the underdog or the person without, and who so quickly responded with a truly uncommon generosity. What a loss for those of us who remain.  And how much lovelier the post-mortal existence must be for those who now surround her.

A true jewel has left us!  We will miss you so much Julie, but will see you again!

Julie touched so many lives with her love and concern.  The world will mourn her presence along with those of us who loved her.

Such a kind and loving person.  Rest in Peace Julie, you will be greatly missed!!

Julie was always concerned with how others were doing. I will miss her dearly and will cherish my memories of her.

We were in Julie's ward in the 70s and 80s. She rented the little house next door on the corner to us in the mid 80s. She was always so kind to us and our children and we will remember her goodness and generosity forever.

The friendship I shared with Julie was a great blessing in my life.  I loved the twinkle in her eye and how she could always make me laugh.  I loved her so much and am so grateful to have had her influence in my life.  Everyone needs a friend like Julie.  I will miss her so much!

Tim and I knew Julie Malouf a zillion years ago when we were young newlyweds in the Dallas 1st Ward. We only have good memories of Julie and send our loving thoughts and prayers.
