Jules Stephen Corder, age 86, of Dallas, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022 in Dallas, Texas. He was born March 22, 1936 in Dallas, Texas to John and Nora Corder. Steve was raised in Rylie, Texas and he graduated from Seagoville High School in Seagoville, Texas in 1954. He married Lillie Green on November 21, 1958 and the couple had three children. Steve was a heavy equipment operator at Corder Sand and Gravel, Lone Star Ind. and B&M Sand and Gravel where he worked for more than 50 years.
In his spare time Steve enjoyed traveling to all 49 Continental States, reading, his family, woodworking, the readers digest, playing dominoes or 42, drinking coffee, the company of his dog, Sandi and he was also an avid Wheel of Fortune fan. His family and friends will always remember him as a loving, hardworking, kind, compassionate, mentor to others who lived by example; a quietly effective person.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents, John and Nora Corder; siblings, Billy Corder, Leola Corder, John "Buddy" Corder and Ethel Dean Duke. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Lillie Marie Corder of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Sherry Butler of Garland, Texas, Linda Smallwood and husband, Larry of Canton, Texas; son, Steve Corder and wife, Rhonda of Scurry, Texas; daughter, Brenda Hood and husband, James of Scurry, Texas; brother, George Corder of Rockwall, Texas; sister-in-law, Evelyn Wilkins of Burleson, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 25 1/2 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be dearly missed by all his friends and family.
