Juanita Benson (July 1, 1939 - December 30, 2018 was born to Samuel and Viola Nicholson Jackson in Dallas, Texas.
Juanita was a graduate of Booker T. Washington Technical High School for the Visual and Performing Arts, in the Dallas school district. She was also a graduate of Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida, and did post-graduate studies at several area universities. Juanita was employed by the Dallas Independent School District for over 35 years as a psychological counselor, giving a helping hand to many students in need. She was also a part-time employee of American Airlines for over 10 years.
She was a faithful member of St. Augustine's Episcopal Church, and previously Epiphany Episcopal Church, both in south Dallas, where she served as a member of the Episcopal Church Women and in the choir. She loved to sing, dance, and travel.
Juanita was married to the late William Taylor, Sr., and subsequently to the late Charles Benson. She is survived by her son, William "Bill" Taylor, Jr., seven nieces and nephews and a host of other beloved family members, friends, and caregivers.
