My sincere condolences to the Ventura family.
My father has lost a bestfriend, a friend,  a brother, and a compadre even joined a team in mexico together and enjoyed many adventures. Bonding did not stop there my father and padrino were always great friends my father introduced my mother to him and had gave him the news she was pregnant by me. My padrino was excited for his bestfriend and wanted to be my godfather. 

Godfather, I will truly miss you. You are taking a piece of my heart. You are a loving caring soul. Never missed a birthday, never missed an event i would always count on you to be there. Spending a last moment with you when you told me. Mija don't give up on your dreams remember you can accomplish anything i love you. Please come visit me i feel lonely and i want you to vist me lets make some dinner togother. 

Padrino you will be missed! you will not be forgotten because i will have you forever in my heart. The familia de la rosa, loves you so much heaven has gained a new angel. Rest in peace i will see you later when time comes for now i know you will protect and look after everyone that loves you.

A few years ago, my cousin, aunt, and uncle made our way to a casino in Oklahoma. After my cousin – to no one’s surprise – caught a speeding ticket, my uncle claimed that he could argue it in court because “no one gets a ticket for driving only 10 miles over the speed limit.” My cousin had done about 20. Having not yet learned how to drive, I also later fact-checked this with my brother. He responded, “No. That’s why it’s called a limit."

By the end of the night, we regrouped to eat and my uncle asked, “Would you ever want to start a business?"

At the casino, this felt like a trap. Still, I responded, “Yeah. I guess.”

“In what?” Jose continued. There, I paused because he was already several steps ahead of my plans. “How much would it cost?”

So, I acted like I knew things, “approximately two thousand in startup costs, and a thousand in monthly expenses.”

He said, “get me a list of those expenses and I’ll see what I can do.”

I had no idea I had strolled into the shark tank. Imagine slapping random numbers into a phone and accidentally calling Mark Cuban, because that’s how I felt negotiating business through broken Spanglish. Mind you, he just saw me lose 40 dollars on a Simpsons themed slot machine. Obviously, I had to decline his generous offer while I was still in school. Even so, his intention wasn’t to invest in my business. His intention was to invest in family; he wanted to invest in a legacy.

In that legacy, Jose built many monuments; there are those of contagious determination and unmatched persistence. However, above all his ventures in entrepreneurship, the greatest monument my uncle built lies within the grace and generosity of his family. So often, the Ventura family has fed me, sheltered me, taught me, and inspired me. Although we can’t fathom the words to properly appreciate Jose's influence on us, his children, and their children, we can still hope to act in a way that says we listened, we cared, and we will always care.

My deepest condolences to the entire Ventura Family. May God give you the strength and peace of mind you need in these difficult times. 
I am truly saddened by the loss of Mr. Ventura, growing up along side the family for years and holding a friendship so near to his son, his passing hits close to home. I am with you in your grief, you all are in my heart and in my prayers.
