Jose Luis Martinez

Jose Luis Martinez (aka Joe), 44, passed away on October 2, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. Born on November 3, 1979, Jose grew up in the community of Maypearl, Texas, where he attended Maypearl ISD.

Jose was a devoted family man, known for his kind and welcoming spirit. He was a loving husband to Leticia Martinez and a doting father to Tearsa, Luis, Isabella, and Chuy. His sense of humor and love for pranks filled their home with laughter. Jose's passion for music and singing, alongside his love for movies, made him the heart of every gathering. He was deeply involved in his children’s activities, always encouraging and supporting them.

Professionally, Jose was a respected figure in the interior design and construction industry. Working for himself as JL Martinez along with several local construction companies (TL Crow & Legend Interiors LLC). He also contributed to the community by being a volunteer for the Maypearl Fire Department for 10 years. His dedication and eye for detail earned him admiration and respect in his field.

Jose was a faithful believer in Christ and attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waxahachie and First Baptist Church in Maypearl, where he participated in community activities and formed lasting friendships.

He is survived by his spouse, Leticia; children, Tearsa, Luis, Isabella, and Chuy; father, Jose Luis Martinez; and siblings, Guadalupe and spouse Rosario and children, Luz Maria and her children, Maria, Jose and spouse Emily and their children, and Lorena. Jose was preceded in death by his mother, Maria De Jesus Martinez, sister Lorena Martinez.

Jose's warm heart and vibrant spirit will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will live on through his family and the many lives he touched.
