Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm with Rosary at 7pm on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cecilia at 11am on Friday, June 11, 2021. Burial to follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
Jose was born in Chicago to Jose A. Gomez and Sylvia G. Gomez on July 27, 1958. He went to school at Jungman Elementary School. He married Sara Ybarra on July 16, 1976 in Dallas. He graduated from Sunset High School. He worked as an aerospace mechanic and UAW union rep for LTV/Vought/Northrop Grumman/Triumph for 33 years. He was involved in Civil Rights Committee at LTV
Jose is preceded in death by Jose Arnulfo Gomez, Sylvia Gomez and Rudy Gomez.
Jose is survived by wife Sara Y. Gomez, children Jose Arnulfo Gomez III, Nicole Gomez-Little, Chloe Monet Perez: sister Rafelita Rodriguez and brother in law Robert Rodriguez, sister in law Cristina Gomez, brother Raul Gomez: Grandson Robert Perez Jr. Son in laws Tony Little and Robert Perez.
Pallbearers will be Guadalupe Vasquez, Albert Ybarra, Arthur Ybarra, Christopher Ybarra, Christopher Rodriguez, Raul Gomez Jr., Rudy Gomez Jr., Daniel Arce III.
