Thanks for posting so many wonderful photos of John. I still think of him often and miss his wonderful personality. I will always treasure his memory and the time we spent together at the Dallas Times Herald and how great it was to get that call from him to go visit Roy Bode in Marble Falls after Roy bought the paper there. I treasure John and his memory and will forever!

I was stunned to learn this amazing gentleman is no longer with us and, in fact, has been gone for almost three months.  Yet at the same time, I find peace...I will hold to the comfort that, while he was actually gone from this life and I didn't know it, I thought of him often and felt his presence. I will carry my amazing memories and his impact on my life with me always.  I am so blessed to have gotten a nice visit with John and Jean and Pam last summer.  I walked away realizing that, while he taught me an awful lot about the newspaper business...he taught me even more about love and family.  What a gem.

I worked for John at the Dallas Times Herald. I remember visiting yourranch with the Guittars. John was blessed with a great family and many admirers!

John was a great leader of the ad sales department at the Dallas Times Herald. It was an honor and priveledge to have worked in his department. Some great times in thos early 80's and it is where I launched my career in 1981. He was always a kind, gentle man. And a pretty snappy dresser to boot! God bless.
