John Paul Moreno was born on June 24th, 1979, to Jesus Francisco and Maria Dolores Moreno in Dallas, Texas. He attended Dan D. Rogers Elementary School, Benjamin Franklin Middle School and Hillcrest High School, earning his high school diploma in 1997. After high school, John moved to Austin, Texas, to live with his older brother Tony. Tony went to school while John Paul worked. Both partied.
In 2000, John Paul moved back to Dallas and became a Records Coordinator at Gill Records Service. He soon became not only a key employee, but a close friend to several co-workers. These close friendships would become a trend throughout John Paul’s career. After working for Gill Records for several years, “John” (as he liked to be called as he got older) jumped around to a couple of other Records Services before making the bold decision to move to Miami, Florida, in early 2008 for a fresh start.
While in Miami, John solidified several close friendships while working various jobs to make ends meet. After 2 years in Miami, he made the decision to move back to Dallas and worked at Usability Sciences as a Participant Recruiter before moving into a new position as a Sales Operations Coordinator. While at Usability Sciences, John made the decision to go back to school to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business. He completed his degree and graduated with Honors from Keiser University in 2017, all while working full-time.
During his studies, John switched jobs a few times before graduating and landed at his latest company, Kalkomey Enterprises, where he was the Executive Assistant for the CEO.
Aside from being a hard worker, John Paul was known for being super organized, a multi-tasker, and an innovator of efficient processes to get work done faster…he had his own system, so don’t mess it up! Aside from those things, he was also known as someone who was kind, considerate, caring, with an infectious laugh that lit up a room!
He loved his mama, laughed and fought with his two older brothers (as brothers do), and cherished his family and friends. He was also very much into fitness, music, art, video games and selfies. Hey, he looked good and he knew it!
John lost his father, Jesus, in July of 1999, but is survived by his mother, Maria Dolores, and two older brothers, Dan and Tony Moreno.
His services will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home on Saturday, August 25th, 2018, beginning at 11am. At his request, he will be cremated, and his remains will reside with his surviving family members.
