Bill is preceded in death by both of his parents, his brother Gary, 2 sisters Diane and Sharon and his daughter, Shanna Marie Harrup. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Cristina P. Reodica of Frisco, and children; Dianna Sanders, Angela Johnson, Cynthia Gaffney, all of Kansas City, John (Amy) Minor of Kimberling City, MO and his adopted daughter, Tricia (Paul) Mendez of Keller, TX. He is also survived by his 3 brothers, Steven Minor, Jimmy Lee Minor, Hugh David Minor and 1 sister, Michelle Renee Minor all of Omaha, NE, 19 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
Bill was raised in Omaha, NE and Huntington Beach, CA. He graduated from Huntington Beach High School in 1960 and served in the United States Navy for 6 years as a Corpsman and Pharmaceutical Technician. He attended college at the University of Missouri- Kansas City and was a proud Veteran, Texan and an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Bill married his wife, Cristina in 1986 and moved to Frisco in 1988. Bill loved living in Frisco and proudly served his community with the Knights of Columbus. It was not uncommon to see him volunteering at community events. He touched many lives in the community by helping those who needed it whenever was able to do so. He attended church at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Frisco. After nearly 20 years, he retired from Horizon Lines in Dallas. John “Bill” Minor will be greatly missed by many family members and friends throughout the community.
