Virginia, I just now heard or I would have been there. I remember John as willing to do most anything to be of help, from serving in the church food line to greeting us with a grin and sometimes a clever wisecrack at his work. We were blessed to have known him.

John was always the comedian and lots of fun to be with when we were kids, and the family was all around.
As life went along we saw each other less frequent and it is good to know how happy his years with Virginia were. 
John is now happy with Mary, Bobby, Hattie and his father.

I have known John Loving for many years through Sewell and knew him as a wonderful Christian, and appreciated his love for his family and church friends.  The world was a much better place to live because he made so many friends.  I shall always remember his kindness and compassion.  May God comfort his family and bless them richly during this difficult time.

John was a  friend and served as a greeter on Sundays at PCBC.  John shared his very powerful Christian testimony in our home as well as a driver for Sewell-- His love for others was lived in may specail ways.

 I have known john for many many years(since i wore diapers).  I grew up around john and other dpd officers. john was a real jokester even when he left dpd and came over to the sheriffs dept. you will be missed my friend, but never forgotten.

Paw Paw, I remember a lot of memories with you. Some were coming to your house every day when I was little (pretty much) and taking a bath in your big bath at your old house. Ha ha those were some great memories!! And I miss them so much just like you!! I love you very much and hope you rest in peace in Gods wonderful kingdom. John, You were truly one of a kind and you made this world a better place. You were always ready to share a laugh or story and we truly enjoyed your company. I'm sure you are busy now catching up with friends and family who have gone on before! 
Our love and prayers go out to all of John's family and friends. I know you will miss him and treasure your memories. We were all blessed to know him and have him touch our lives. He was a good and kind man who will be missed and fondly remembered by all.

John was a special man, a cop, a biker, a jokester, and most of all a gentleman and friend to all. I will miss him and the great times we had together at work.

I called your mother Saturday and she told me of your fathers passing. You and your family are in my thought and prayers.

My husband Charles and I were in the Shema Sunday School Class with John and Virginia at Park Cities Baptist Church.  
After Charles died, I considered John to be my "personal GPS".  Virginia gave me his cell phone number so that their "directionally challenged" friend could call him whenever I got lost.  Even if they were at "the lake" when I called, he could tell exactly where I was and would stay on the phone with me until I knew where I was again.
I won't be getting lost again, most likely, because I no longer drive and sold my car to my daughter Ruth.

Our love and prayers are with John's entire family.  May you be at peace knowing you will be with him again some day.  Please let us know if we can help you during this difficult time.

I will truly miss John: a good husband, father, friend,christian and a generious giving kind person. He could arise to the occasion and be hard as nails if required: I found him to a kinda hero type cross of John Wayne-Bob Newhart-Red Skelton.  Oustanding with a wealth of trivia & life experiances.I have never seen a better suited couple than he and his wife who he loved dearly. I do hope that there are H.D.s in Heaven and hoping I make it(as he has)we will  ride on those golden streets through the Pearly Gates  HANDLE BAR TO HANDLEBAR

I was sorry to hear about John.  He was a fine officer and someone you could learn from, but with his humor I never knew when he was serious or pulling my leg. He was a joy to be around, laughing at his jokes or trying to escape one of his planned set-ups on an officer before you got blamed for it.  My prayers go out to you and your families during your time of sorrow.

John, I cant say enough how much laughter you brought to those around you. Working with you was hard enough without laughing at your silly jokes you told. You were a inspiration to life and I am truley honored to have known you. You can rest now. God Bless !!!

John, just wanted to say Thank You, for all the times we sat and talked about nothing in particular but always laughed about what we talked about. You always drew a laugh out of any subject and its an honor to have known you.

John Loving has been my friend for probably 40 years.  I shall always remember for his ready smile, the pranks he used to play and his readiness to aid a brother officer.  It is extremely sad to see someone so revered leave our presence.  I know John has gone to a better place and finally is at rest.  May he rest in peace and always be remembered.

Well done good and faithful servant for you fought the good fight and have now finished the race and I know you have received the greatest and highest reward possible. John was a good person, a good police officer, a good Worthy Brother, and a truly good man that was liked and respected by all who knew him and loved him. May his family and friends find comfort and solace in fond loving memories and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Working with John was a new experience each and every day to say the least.
