Jo'Hatti White

Jo Hattie White was born June 01, 1925 in Hooks, Texas; the youngest of 12 and the only girl child; to the late Joe Burnett and Hattie Burnett. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended Cedar Springs Baptist Church in Hook, Texas until she moved to Dallas, Texas where she became a committed member of Faithful Missionary Baptist Church until her passing.

She received her formal education in her hometown of Hooks, Texas graduating from Burns High School, Class of 1952. She married Jimmy Lee White and they eventually relocated to Dallas, Texas and raised their family. She pursued her Cosmetology license and went on to be a Cosmetology instructor. She later became an employee of Texas Instruments (TI).

Jo Hattie birthed 9 children. Gloria Stanford and Stephanie White both of Dallas, Texas and Guy White of Abilene, Texas. Betty Jean White, Timothy Jerdell White, Tommy White, Saundra Buchanan, Stephen White and Gail Joan White who all preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her husband (Jimmy), father (Joe), mother (Hattie) and brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memory 3 children, many grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, great great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends that have become family.
