Joel Curtis Black

He attended South Mountain Highschool and Arizona State University. He graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering.

Upon graduation, he relocated to Seattle Washington, where he worked as a software engineer at WRQ.

On March 1, 1997, Joel Married Angelia (Hunter) Black and relocated to Dallas Texas. The union produced 4 beautiful children (Hunter, Ishmia, Spencer, and Anna Black).

In Dallas, he worked as a software engineer for Raytheon, Southwest Airlines, and T-Mobile.

In April 2014 Joel founded his company Mo’Better Tech. Where he designed, developed, and maintained websites, apps and kiosks for businesses and individuals in the United States and Internationally.

Some of his favorite pastimes were spending time with his children, family and friends, working on all things computer related, and riding his Harley solo as well as with groups of friends.

Preceding him in death are Father and Mother (Chelcy and Anna Black), Brother (Julious Anderson…. Sisters: Leola Pitre and Rillie Lee Anderson.

He leaves to cherish his memory: Son (Hunter Black of Dallas Texas ), Son (Spencer Black of Dallas Texas), Daughter (Ishmia Black of Little Rock Arkansas) Daughter (Anna Black of Dallas Texas), Twin Brother (Jewell Clay Black of Phoenix Arizona), Sister (Lillie Mae Williams), Sister (Ann Wagstaff), Nephew & his wife (Joshua & Amelia Black of Phoenix Arizona), Niece (Zannah Black of Phoenix Arizona) and a multitude of other family, friends, nieces, and nephews.
