Joe N. McKinney

Joe N. McKinney, 88, passed away on October 8, 2013 in Dallas, Texas. He was born May 25, 1925 in Van Alstyne, Texas. He served his country as a Marine during World War II in the Pacific and was a Purple Heart Recipient. He was also a founding member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church and enjoyed being involved in the parish community.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ann McKinney; son, Stephen (Lorraine) McKinney of Sugar Land; Sisters, Margie McTague of Lynn, Massachusetts and Rachel Beal of Carrollton; Grandson, Danny McKinney of McKinney, and great-grandchildren, Teagan McKinney of Bedford and Grayson McKinney of McKinney.

Services for Mr. McKinney will be held at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, located at 4015 S. Hampton Rd, Dallas, TX. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a Holy Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. An additional viewing will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2013 beginning at 9:00 a.m. with a Funeral Mass following at 11:00 a.m. A private entombment will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
