Jodie M. Sherlock was born on August 10, 1944 in Dallas, Texas. She passed away on January 4, 2024 in Forney, Texas. She graduated from North Dallas High School in 1962, then went on to have a successful career working as a teacher for MISD with special-needs children. She loved everyone and never met a stranger, and loved long conversations with friends and family.
Jodie is preceded in death by her husband, Dominick Sherlock; mother, Lena Miller of Dallas; and father, Vito Miller of Dallas.
Left to cherish her memory are her nephew, Dominick Sherlock (Bubba) of Mesquite; niece, Cecelia Sherlock of Dallas; cousin, Irene Todora of Dallas; second nephew, Dominick Sherlock Jr. (Don) of Edgewood; long-time friend (but more like a brother), Pete Hensley of Mesquite; and two great-nephews, Bowen D. Sherlock and Caden G. Sherlock of Edgewood.
Jodie will be immensely missed.
A visitation for Jodie will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home, 10501 Garland Road, Dallas, TX 75218. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220.
