JoAnn Lovely

JoAnn was born in Waxahachie, Texas on August 1, 1934 to Homer Brown and Nellie Taylor. She attended Peeler Elementary, Storey Middle School and graduated from Adamson High School in 1951.

JoAnn met the love of her life, Burch, in 1949 and they were married in 1953. They had their first child, David Burch, in 1954. Later came Cheryl Anne in 1955, Lisa Jean in 1957 and Cara Grace in 1962. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

JoAnn worked at Southgate Elementary in Garland, Texas for 25+ years and retired in 1996.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Friendship House, a relief ministry sponsored by JoAnn’s church, First Baptist Church of Garland where she volunteered for several years.

A memorial service for JoAnn will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 801 W Avenue D, Garland, TX 75040.
