James “Jimmy” D. Edwards was born March 23, 1944 in Roswell, New Mexico. He left this earthly home on Monday, January 28, 2019 in Austin, Texas.
Jimmy loved music, his dad was a trumpet player in the military. Jimmy grew up adoring Big Band Music. He was extremely gifted in playing the trumpet and guitar by ear. Jimmy enjoyed playing his trumpet at any event he went to. He loved to entertain and played with the band on stage at the annual picnic. His favorite Trumpeters were Harvey James and Doc Severson. He would always ask Linda for more CDs of Harvey James. He also enjoyed country music.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Jewell Edwards. Jimmy is survived by his sister; Linda and husband Wayne, Elaine and Husband Gary. Along with many nieces and nephews.
