I can not remember a day in my life where the Bishops were not a part of it.  Jimmy and Peggy were such a part of our family growing up; they were included in every big thing that happened to all of us Schneider’s, wedding to graduations to my father funeral, your parents were never far away.  

Gina, Jeff I hope you know how your mother and father touched our lives and how great a friend he was to my Dad.  Christmas mornings will not be the same while we longer waiting for Jimmy’s visit that morning.

I CAME TO BISHOPS IN THE 80s Drove the war wagon as herman called it from phx. to get big BLOCKS. JIMMY WAS A GOOD JUDGE OF PEOPLE AND I HAD A LOT OF RESPECT FOR HIM.HE WAS A LEGEND IN HIS TIME WILL MISS SEEING HIM ON MY NEXT TRIP.  RIP

I was a customer and supplier of Bishop Companies for 30 plus years. My greatest respect for him, was his ability to judge  the character of people. Jimmy Bishop was able to find key employees and give them the resources  to keep Bishop Companies at the top of the Indusry. Jimmy was respected by employees and vendors and trusted by everyone I know. RIP

It was truly an honor to have known and worked for Mr. Bishop. There will never be another thoughtful kind generous spirited man as Mr. Bishop was. Mr. Bishop was one of the nicest people I have ever known. He will certainly be missed by so many.

I never met Mr. Bishop, but growing up I heard his name a million times.  Every time my parents (Joe & Joyce (Jones) Keyes) or my aunt (JoAnn (Jones) Diaz'Green) spoke about Jimmy it was with love and laughter.  He touched many lives, and my sympathies to the family for your loss.  May God be with you during this difficult time.

It was a great experiance to have known Jimmy for 50 years, and worked for him for20. Words cannot describe the loss for all of his family and friends. He was one of a kind,and will be missed by all. The end of an era.  n

I will never forget Mr. Bishop. He was so loving and always made me feel good about myself. I love him and look forward to seeing him again in heaven.

I knew who Jimmy was at Adamson but did not know him personally at that time. I came to know more about him while attending and working on Class of '48 reunions and luncheons. I had recently spoken to him about the next luncheon. At his suggestion we were to meet to make arrangements to return to the Oak Cliff Country Club. Unfortunately that meeting never took place.I regret not knowing him better. My sympathies to the family.

My husband is an employee of Bishop International and always spoke very highly of Mr. Bishop. I wish I would have had the pleasure of meeting such a great and wonderful man. To the Bishop Family my name is Deborah williams Proctor my father was O.T. he worked for your father for 30 years and more I just want to say to Gina so sorry about your father my father admired him a lot may God bless your family in this time of sorry have not seen you nor your brother since you were kids and running around in your mom and dads house may you always remember that we will be there for you guys as I am sure you know my father passed a few years ago stay strong .

Jimmy Bishop lived the American dream. Starting with just an idea and the back of his truck, he developed a major Automotive Aftermarket business, known throughout the US and many parts of the world. I knew Mr. Bishop as generous, strong but sentimental and always loyal to his friends and family. He will be missed.

Mr. Bishop was a wonderful friend and will be greatly missed by my family.  He cared so much for everyone he came in contact with; taking the time to get to know their interest and supporting them.  He was a wonderful encourager to my children when they no longer had that grandfather figure in their lives.  He always spoke with much love of his parents and the love of his life, Peggy.  I know God blesses those who honor their parents and are devoted husbands.  He told me once that his mom told him, "Jimmy, it is more important to be nice than to be important."  Jimmy succeeded in living his life by this motto; he was one of the nicest people I have ever known.  My sympathies to the family; he loved you all so much, and spoke often of his grandchildren - they were the apple of his eye! Gina, I am so sorry to hear about your Dad.  I have such fond memories of he and your mom and all the times at your house growing up.  You and your family are in my thoughts.

Mr. Bishop was the kind of guy that made it a  pleasure to do business. Not only was he a great customer and promoter of my products, he became a trusted friend. His love for his work and the people around him was something to aspire to. I will miss him. My condolences to the family.

Jimmy was a pioneer in the automotive aftermarket industry and all of us who make a living in that line of work owe a debt of gratitude to him. He was a kind and generous man that helped a lot of people along the way to support themselves and thier families. His spirit and enthusiasm will certainly be missed. My heartfelt condolences to the Bishop and Corwin families.

There was no better man than Jimmy,Ymmij Bishop......a friend to all.He was a wonderfully loyal father,friend,businessman,and golfer.We have lost another of the greatest generation.
