Jesus "Chuy" Gonzalez, 80, passed away December 18, 2023 in Combine, Texas. He was born July 20, 1943 in Robstown, Texas to Manuel and Torivia Gonzalez. Chuy was raised in both Robstown, Texas and Martha, Oklahoma.
He married Cruz De La Rosa in 1961 and the couple had five children. In his spare time, Chuy enjoyed watching old westerns on television and sharing stories about his younger years with his Dad.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Torivia Gonzalez; fathers-in-law, Remigio De La Rosa and Francisco Garza; sister, Mary Maldonado and her husband, Cruz Maldonado; brother-in-law, Romaldo Garza; brothers, Sammy, Manuel, David; nieces and nephews, Benny, Richard, Lee, Danny, Frank, Diana; grandchildren, Bobby Joe and Mari Bella Gonzalez. He is survived by his brothers, Pete and Joe; sisters, Josie, Juana, Sylvia, Nena along with their spouses and family; his children, Jessie, Jr., Richard, Robert, Leroy and his wife, Irma, Lucinda and her husband, Cesar; twenty grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren as well as, many other extended family members.
