Jesse J. Lopez was born in Dallas, Texas, September 24, 1943, and eternal rest August 11, 2022, the same day as his brother, international recording artist and actor, Mr. Trini Lopez. Jesse was the son of Trinidad and Petra Lopez (Gonzales). He is survived by his wife Elizabeth H. Lopez, daughter Jessi Nichole Lopez, sister Lucy (Luz) Martinez and his fourteen nieces and nephews.
Jesse graduated from North Dallas High School (1963) and then attended North Texas State University class of 1967 with a Bachelor of Music and Fine Arts degree. Jesse was also a fraternity alum with Delta Sigma Pi.
During all his high school and college years, Jesse Lopez was a singer and entertainer. He performed at all of his school events and The State Fair of Texas. He later hit success performing in all of the major hotels in Dallas, Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe. He also made an appearance on the Mike Douglas Show. Jesse's success lead him to Carnival Cruise Lines, where he spent twenty-five years as their top entertainer.
Jesse's passing was due to complications from Alzheimer's.
