Hey grandpa it's been what 7 months since you passed and I just been down since you left the world and I can tell that grandma is hurting now that you left she has no body to yell at no more. Me and  Tio miss the yelling you did and I can kind of do the whistle you did when you tried to get my attention or tinys. Things changed at the house, the old houses are knocked down and etc. Me and Tio Joseph started working on the go-kart you left all we need is one more part and that's it. I pray everyday for you to come back just so I can see you one more time at least, I would do anything for that to happen. But now I have to wait to see you in another place.

Just know I love you and hope to see you again.

It’s been three & half months since God called you home. I miss you so much, the pain is unbearable.  I hear your voice everywhere, I search for videos that the girls took, just see you and hear your voice.  I cry but it helps me to keep moving forward without you.  I know without a doubt that you got your wings, You were always a blunt person with a caring giving heart not only to your family but  also strangers.  

You knew I wasn’t a person that showed affection but. without a doubt you are the love of my life.   I pray God saves me a place close to you, until that day comes I carry all the memories you left me in my heart.

Tio Jesse, 
Oh my goodness, I don't know where to start. You were the funniest Tio ever. LOUD too! (LOL) You didn't put up with any mess and said things as they were and didn't sugar coat things. Loved you for that. Man, I still remember you yelling as Jessica and I would run around in the old house and play under the table. You didn't scare me one bit, guess I just knew you had that wonderful spirit about you. I'm so glad my children Matthew and Naomi got to meet you and spend time with you and the family the few times we went up to visit. They thought you were hilarious! Oh and by the way, trying to train my son to say to me "Ungawa" never did stick. I'm going to miss you picking on me about my young husband. But like I said to you over the phone, "I need someone who can keep up with me and not some old fart!" I still have your voicemail saved on my phone, teasing me that I left his pacifier at your house. But you loved him, you crazy man! So thankful that we got to talk with you and Tia over the phone on New Years Eve. Man we all talked for over an hour. My dad was happy he got to talk and laugh with you too. That was the last time we got to say we loved you and we still do.
Although I'm still in disbelief that you're gone, I will treasure every memory and every phone call. I am overjoyed to know that I will see you again in paradise! 
One last thing Tio, you know I would never say this but in your honor "GO COWBOYS!"

Dear Lopez Family,
     I would like to express our deepest sympathy on  behalf of my entire family. 
May God hold you all tighter than ever and bring you  peace and comfort during this difficult time.
 Jesse was and will always be known for his love for family and friends.  Along with his great sense of humor. He had a heart of gold and unconditional love. 
At times he came across as being a tough guy to try and scare me, So I just thought that I needed  to grow on him so he’d be nicer.  BUT once I realized that he had daughters,...I knew he was probably just an old softie inside. 
 To my surprise...I must have  grown on him because a few weeks ago I was informed  that  he had a nickname for me. I was honored, yet all I could do was laugh, shake my head and say... “That Jesse! He is a mess!”
 So Jesse, now that God has called you home, 
I will cherish my nickname in your memory forever. 
Mary and I recently spoke of Jesse, she described him as being like the “Godfather” of the family. That was due to everyone loving him so much and looking up to him.  I think it is a very loving and respectful compliment to Jesse.  At times he could be good, bad (in a good way) and/or just crazy fun all in one. Great Person.

It has taken me a while to try and pull myself together.  I realize now that I still can't do that.  You have literally torn our lives, hearts and souls apart.   You have been part of our family since I was 13 years old (52 years).  I remember being mad at you for taking my sister away from us when you married her.  I know she truly loves and misses you. Our dad had alot of respect for you. I remember when you went to my dad's house to ask for permission to date Elvia and all 6 brothers had to give their approval too. You did it, you sat there through all their stares and handled it. Dad knew you were a man of great values and it's evident in your person and the upbringing of your family and love you had for my sister.  You were a wonderful husband, father and brother in-law. You will be greatly missed.  I  understand that you are in a better place and that you used your VIP PASS to heaven but the tears won't stop coming.   You told me that I would cry when you left us and you are right.  Hopefully I will see you again. Will you please give our family that you have joined up there a big hug. Tio Jesse.... where do I begin? I remember time out in different corners of the house on Ravinia and getting in trouble for playing marbles with everyone else in other corners.  You were very scary when I was a kid but your family values and life lessons were instilled in all of us.  A great father,  grandfather, uncle, brother, husband (I'm sure) etc and I will never forget you and all the life lessons you taught us growing up.  Your future grandkids have no idea what they are missing when we say we were attacked with kisses by Tio Jesse and it being so closely related to being kissed by a Great Dane. Rest in Peace Tio Jesse and give 'em a hell of a show up there. Until we meet again...we miss and love you! 

I am so going to miss those phone calls starting off with “chuck e cheese”...... You were such a great friend and my heart hurts. I miss you so much brother. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE!!

To my Cuz whom I loved so dearly,
I what to thank you for being there for me after my husband passed in April. I appreciated your calls tremendously. I can't tell you much it helped me get through things easier. I"m so happy I went to go see you, not just for Tia but all the Lopez family. You were so funny but yet so honest. I will always remember when you came to California when you were a youngster. We both got hammered and the next day we went my moms house and you put binaca breath drops in my mouth and it felt like fire but did the trick. Also when dad was still with us he loved your company.  I will miss you dearly, now I have two scars in my heart. So until we meet again love you always and forever. Your Cousin


Oh Tio the pain you left in my heart and so many others when you left is indescribable but it brings me some peace knowing you’re in a better place with no pain.  There’s SO much to say about what a Terrific Man you were but I think everyone knew that already so I’ll just say THANK YOU! Thank you for sharing your wisdom, thank you for giving us your laughter and joy, & Thank you for leaving us with Great everlasting Memories. I remember when I first found out you only carried my baby picture in your wallet, You said it was to scare the roaches away (lol)  but I was like Nah that man Loves me Loves me And I hope you knew I had that same Love for you as well and always will... Dad, as I sit here and finalize your eulogy, I am still in disbelief that you are really gone. I have so many amazing and everlasting memories with you, mom, and our family that I will hold in my heart forever. Know that we will continue to keep your memory alive for your grandkids and we will all take care of mom, so you don't have to worry. I will forever cherish the last "I Love You" that I was able to tell you in person the day before your passing. Dear Grandpa Jesse,

I remember when I was 5, you and grandma were cutting grass and I told you I could do it too. You said, “Alright I’m gonna teach you how to drive the lawnmower and cut grass like I taught your Tio Joseph”. You made me start on turtle speed so I wouldn’t get hurt and once I got used to it, then I went to rabbit speed. It was so funny when you sent my mom a video of me driving the lawnmower and she flipped out and called you yelling that I was too little to be driving...LOL I love going to y’all’s house, and learning all the things that you taught me like driving the lawn mowers and tractor, feeding the cows, building things, doing mechanic work, cutting trees, burning trash and all the other things you only paid me $5 to do! That helped me to be a responsible young man and help grandma take care of things while you had to work. You always made time to go to mine, Annalise, Julissa and Tiny’s football games, band concerts, powerlifting meets, school programs, birthday parties and everything else that we did in school and outside of school. 
It was a shock to all of us and especially me, when you passed away. I really wanted to see you before you passed but didn’t get a chance to because you were so sick with that ugly and nasty virus. You were my best friend that I could talk to about anything. You gave me advice on how to deal with things and I love you for that. Now that you are in heaven my Tio Joseph will have to now teach me everything you taught him. I have so many funny memories with you that I will hold in my heart forever. I love and miss you old man and no matter what, your kids and grandkids will always carry on your legacy and keep your memory alive with us and grandma.
I hope your first class ticket to heaven that you always said you have worked. I just know that when Old Granny heard your loud voice coming she turned around and said “Oh shut up Jr!” In the famous words of the old man, “Ungawa, Timba, Jigamaboo”

My Condolences Family,
I barely had the chance to meet Jesse and the family but he made an impact in my life. I am grateful for him and all the laughs we had in the short time I knew him constantly picking on me for being "A lil' kid" lol Threatening to call CPS on Rachel!! Hahaha he was always making us laugh! A hilarious memory I have of Jesse is giving him a massage(he was making weird moaning noises) and Joseph walks in the room saying "What the Hell is going on in here?!" "Aw, Dario not even my Mom touches my Dad like that anymore!" Lmao Jesse had a few words for Joseph I'm sure you can all imagine what he said!  Oh and he gifted me a Cowboys Jersey! It was probably my payment and I will forever treasure it! That's what was so Awesome about Jesse he was so Blunt and Loving gave you everything straight forward! One of A kind Man, Glad I got to meet him! I'm so sorry for your Loss Lopez Family may God Comfort you All we are keeping you in our prayers.


I haven't Jesse since Crozier Tech, although I remember him quite vividly from back then. As he was. We weren't what you would  say  close friends in high school. But a memory I have of Jesse, is that once while I was coming the down stairs to basement floor by the print shop I was confronted by a group of individuals, lets just say did not have friendly feels toward me. As they were confronting me, Jesse came down the stairs behind me and told these five to six individuals to back off. Which they did very quickly. I feel, that day Jesse saved me from taking a beating, and I'll always remember him as a good guy. God speed Jesse.

Tio gave me a lot of first-time fun memories that I will always cherish. A man I looked up to. A man I could always count on to be there for me. I love and miss my tio.

There was never a dull moment when you were around. The memories I have of you and with you will always run deep in my heart. No matter the situation, I remember you’d always make sure I was always taken care of. You always treated me as if I were your own son or grandson, but the thing I appreciate most is how you always treated my family with love and respect. One thing you always told me was to work hard for what i wanted, but to never forget those that helped me get there. I pray Mrs Elvia and the family find joy in the light you were in this world, and that they know that we will always be here for them. Thank you for helping shape me into the man that I am today. Growing up I remember Jesse's family visiting my grandmother Jacoba Orozco on Gould Street.  Jesse came and as children we played and made lasting memories.  In high school Jesse would always greet me with that beautiful smile of his. The world has lost a gentle soul, but heaven has gained an Angel that will look over his family and his friends.

My condolences to all of you and may you all be comforted with the love he left in your hearts. Jesse made alot of great memories with my children and those will last a life time with them both. May he rest in peace.

So many memories especially from high school but could honestly say you and Elvia always made me feel like family and of course you were the one that was louder and sillier than all but that’s just the way Jesse was happy and crazy but in a great and wonderful way and although our life has taken us down different roads Jesse and Elvia were always some of the wonderful memories of my younger years.

First and foremost I was to thank you for raising me and tiny, starting over was not easy. From helping us with homework, watching us play our sports, staying up late to pick us up after games, making sure we have lunch money, and investing money into all the animals we wanted but could never keep up with. You were such a hardworking man and always made sure we got what we needed in a heart beat. You left so many people speechless when you left us.. but I know now that it was for the better. You're not suffering no more and I thank you lord for looking after him, but I hate that you had to take him so quick. Our lives will never be the same without you. 
Thank you for loving us no matter what, for all the great memories, and thank you for installing your morals into this family. You will never be forgotten, I love you so much old man. Happy birthday 💛



It was so sad to hear of your passing. Although through the years I thought of you and Elvia and all the wonderful years we enjoyed together.  Including our high school years at Crozier Tech and both our weddings. You and Danny always joking around laughing and  up to something all the time. The years went so fast my friend sorry we lost touch the last few years but I never forgot you both. Give the love of my life  a hug for me, I am sure he was waiting for you as you arrived. Memories will always be with me to the end.  Until we meet again my friend.

We had a good father daughter bond that was and still is unbreakable. I am mad at you because you left us way too early. I am crazy because you didn’t even say goodbye. I forgive you because i know you would have said goodbye if you could. Your legacy lives with your grandchildren and us. Happy birthday my sweet crazy daddy!!

I was so shocked to hear you were gone. You and I were so close, like a good friend a brother. I remember our family going to Texas several times when we were both very young.
You came to visit us in California when you were about 17-18 years old.  When we drove underneath the Golden Gate Bridge you were in awe. 
We had lots of good times when I moved to Tx., lots of laughs & love in the family. Such love you had for your family. You touched many lives, & you will be remembered as a man of integrity. You shine in your son, daughters, and grandchildren.I will miss you my loving cousin, & I will carry you in my heart always. A big hello to our aunts, uncles, cousins, moms, & dads in heaven. Rest, you are in your Fathers arms forever.
 


I cant believe that you are gone.. You were a great man great friend to my family I remember so many good & crazy memories.. My family really appreciated you coming to see my dad on his last day before he gained his wings & going 2 my mom & dad's funeral.. They got their wings now you did.. Go fly high with those beautiful wings & when you get to HEAVEN please tell my dad & my mom & my sister i said hello & i miss & love them..HEAVEN JUST RECEIVED ANOTHER ANGEL..

Dad, life will never be the same and I will miss you for the rest of my life. You were more then just a dad, you were my everything, my friend. I will miss the sleep overs both you and mom had here at my house, all the late night talks and beers we shared. When you retired one of your colleagues/friends told me "Jesse is a great man there is no other like him" my response was "He is an even greater Dad".  Thank you for all the life lesson you gave us, both the good and tough ones. We, your kids including Julissa and Tiny will ALWAYS take care of mom. So Rest in peace with old granny and don't worry about mom, we got her. Annalise said to take care of Sly for us. You will alway be the first man I loved.


Dad  I  sit here in disbelief  your  gone. Life is gonna be so different with you not around. I'm so used to you being there for what ever.We had such A unique  father son relationship. You never judged me for the wrong  I've done in my life,but only loved me for who I am. You were the best man any one could look up to. Love you  Pops

I will always remember cousin Jesse’s serenades he did for my sister, Angel. From the time when we were little girls and even  as adults, in his “unique” singing voice, he would greet us by singing “Angel Baby”. As kids we would run and hide but as adults, we learned to appreciate these little acts of love. A truly unforgettable memory I will always cherish.  ❤️

My thoughts are with his wife, children, grandchildren, and everyone else he leaves behind. He was a great man with an even greater heart.
