JENNIFER ALICE LANDGRAF MASON, 57, was born May 19, 1953, in St Louis, MO, to Stanley and Priscilla Landgraf. Jennifer attended Kirkwood High School, excelling in dance and stage performance, and the University of Texas at Austin where she joined Delta Gamma and majored in Fashion Merchandising. She began her career at Sanger-Harris and was a buyer for Dillard’s before marrying Earle Francis Mason on June 20, 1981. Daughter Rebecca Anne Mason was born October 23, 1982, and son Gregory Lewis Mason followed September 11, 1985. As small children they learned, at their mother’s side, the importance of volunteerism, as Jennifer generously contributed her time to United Methodist Women, Delta Gamma, and the Junior League of Dallas. Once her children were in high school, Jennifer returned to work in retail, which enabled her to see friendly faces, still arrive home to make gourmet meals for her family, and share her considerable sewing, tailoring and catering skills with many private clients. Jennifer remained an active Delta Gamma alumna, serving as the Dallas Day Group president and receiving the Cable Award, which recognizes an alumna for personal devotion and continued service to the Fraternity. This was especially meaningful to Jennifer because it was presented to her by Rebecca, who is also a Delta Gamma. She served on the La Fiesta de las Seis Banderas commitee with her expertise in fashion and sewing, assisting in accessorizing the fabulous gowns. Jennifer will always be remembered for her humor, her willingness to always help others, her creativity, her candid opinions, and her smile. She is survived by her daughter Rebecca, son Gregory, former spouse Earle, aunt Mary Louise Hawkins, sister Marsha Landgraf Smith, brothers Bruce Landgraf, Keith Landgraf, and Eric Landgraf, many cousins, nieces and nephews, and countless friends. A memorial service will be held at Highland Park United Methodist Church on Wednesday March 23, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary with a reception to follow in the Great Hall. A private service and inurnment will be held in June on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be made in to Delta Gamma Foundation of Dallas (C/O Mary Lee Miller, 3836 Marquette, Dallas, TX, 75225) or United Methodist Women (C/O H.P.U.M.C. 3300 Mockingbird Ln, Dallas, TX, 75205). Thank you to everyone who has supported the family in this truly difficult time.
