Jeannie Rodriguez passed away peacefully and was reunited with her husband, Claude Rodriguez on July 28, 2015. She met the love of her life Claude “Sonny” Rodriguez in high school and they married on April 30, 1960. Jeannie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
Jeannie had a compassionate heart for people, always putting their needs before hers. She served, alongside her husband, as a Sunday school teacher of all ages. She served her community and served on the board of Parks and Recreation, volunteered at the Carrollton Senior Center, was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America for 20yrs and served as a Eucharistic minister for her church family.
Jeannie’s love for God, her family and life were unwavering. She loved to surround herself with the youth and enjoyed music, dancing (nonstop), movies, the arts and singing. She loved celebrating and finding “reasons” to celebrate for any occasion with family and friends. She spent any time she had with family and making memories. She would always say “to remember is to live”. That sense of adventure was the perfect recipe for making those wonderful memories!
She will be deeply missed and will leave a void that none other can fill, however, there is peace knowing that she is celebrating with her husband as she would have it no other way.
She is survived by her oldest daughter Barbara Saul and her husband Doug and their children, Garrett Saul, his wife Andrea Saul, great granddaughter Irena Saul, Tristan and Elisabeth; her youngest daughter Claudia Montanari and her husband, Patrick, and children Justin and Gabriel; her brother Daniel Vargas and sister, Diana Barr.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 29th at Ted Dicky Funeral Home from 6-9pm. Ted Dicky is located at 7990 W. President Bush Hwy Plano TX.
The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 30th at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Farmers Branch, TX.
